St. Stephen Coptic Orthodox Church of Cypress, Texas (the “Church”) respects your privacy. This page explains what information may be collected when you use this website and how it is used.
Information you provide
The website offers contact, prayer-request, and announcement-subscription forms. Depending on the form, you may provide your name, email address, subject, message, prayer request, or preference to receive church updates. Please share only information you are comfortable sending to the Church; prayer requests may contain personal or sensitive details.
Form submissions are stored so approved Church administrators can review and respond to them. Contact messages may also be sent to the Church by email through Brevo when that service is configured. An announcement-subscription form records your email address and request; it does not itself send an email newsletter.
Technical information and cookies
To limit automated or excessive form submissions, the website derives a rate-limiting identifier from the request’s IP address and browser user-agent and stores a hash of that identifier with the submission. The website also uses a cookie to remember your selected language. Administrative sign-in may use authentication cookies.
The website’s hosting, database, and email providers process information as needed to operate the site, store submissions, protect the forms, or deliver contact messages. Access to stored submissions is limited to approved Church administrators. The website’s form workflow does not sell information submitted through its forms.
Third-party services
Some pages use content or services from other organizations. The site includes a Google Maps embed in the footer and a Google Calendar embed on the Schedule page; the donation page may load a Zeffy form. Media thumbnails and links may connect to YouTube, and some event pages link to external registration forms. When you view or use these services, their providers may receive technical information such as your browser details or IP address and may use their own cookies and privacy practices.
Donations entered in the Zeffy form are handled by Zeffy. The Church website’s own forms do not collect payment-card details. Please review the relevant provider’s privacy information before submitting information through an external service.
How long information is kept
The Church keeps submissions for as long as needed to respond to the request, provide updates you requested, and maintain its administrative records. The website does not currently set one automatic deletion period for all submissions.
You may ask the Church to correct or remove information you submitted, or to stop using an email address for announcements, by contacting us. Some records may need to be retained for administrative or legal reasons.
